Provide material and purchasing support and services for Manufacturing, Research & Development, Forward Integration, Processing, Maintenance and Administration.
Position Requirements:
Acquire product, materials, intermediate goods, machines, supplies, services and other materials used in the production of the product
Maintain the approved vendor list
Insure proper material re-supply and maintain adequate levels by working with scheduling and vendors on adjustments of quantities, deliveries and incorrect materials
Provide timely and accurate reports as needed
Update MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) as needed
Evaluate suppliers based upon price, quality, service support, availability, reliability and selection. Work out problems that may occur with a supplier
Search for needed suppliers by reviewing catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals and Internet sites
Technical
Qualifications:
Experience with computers and computer software.
Must be able to interpret technical specifications and illustrations
Training or equivalent experience in report writing, verbal and oral communication skills
Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have knowledge of General Ledger accounts. Must be knowledgeable on the rules of sales use tax. (Taxable and non-taxable transactions)
Training:
In house on the job training as required to meet job requirements.

Analytical Problem Solving: Able to use a systematic approach in solving problems by researching and evaluating alternative solutions.

Leadership: Able to lead discussions and meetings with customers.
Education
College degree preferred
APP or CPM Cerifications preferred
