Senior Network Security EngineerITST034APrimary ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the VP of Information Technology (IT) and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Senior Network Security Engineer's primary responsibility will be the configuration, implementation, patching, updating, and resolution of all network and information security related projects and events.
Incumbent will be responsible for security operational efficiencies, upgrades, and assisting in the implementation of the overall information security program.
The Senior Network Security Engineer is the subject matter expert for all security platforms, and will assist the VP of IT in developing network and information security architectures.
The Senior Network Security Engineer will be the lead engineer on all information security events, incidents, projects, and mitigation efforts.
Incumbent will work with the Cybersecurity monitoring team to resolve and mitigate escalated security related issues.
Incumbent will work with level 3 support staff and other IT Network team members to assist in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving support calls and project action items in a timely manner.

Performs all required Network and Infrastructure Security Patches, Updates, Implementations, and configuration changes; Including all security implementations and changed for NHMB's Network Applications, Communication Systems, and Mobile Device Platforms.
Ensuresall Network, Communications, Applications, Mobile, and Wireless security configurations meets or exceeds industry standards and best practices.
Keeps current on latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the network and infrastructure.

Implements network, infrastructure, application, and communication systems security patches or upgrades are performed within specified timelines.
Responsible for all routine vulnerability and penetration testing of all network, infrastructure, information, and communication systems.
Performs quarterly reviews / audits of all network and infrastructure components, which include, but are not limited to Firewalls, Routers, switches, proxy servers, and various security appliances.
Planning, engineering, and implementing the security arrangements for the protection of all network systems and infrastructure.
Identifying, defining, configuring, and implementing the latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of all network systems and infrastructure.
Investigate and implement appropriate configurations and or network and infrastructure changes to mitigate and or prevent intrusion, security or hacking incidents.
Develops and provides daily, weekly and monthly statistic and vulnerability reporting to VP of Information Technology.
Assists Level3 and other network IT team members with analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving call, ticket or project related issues.
Works with Cybersecurity monitoring team to improve, respond, mitigate, and resolve escalated security issues, events, incidents or tickets.
Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Physical RequirementsPhysical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise.
Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of light materials and supplies.
May have long periods of time working at a terminal.

SecurityDesired Job ExperienceMinimum of five years' experience with and performing the following:
Managing network and infrastructure system security for a Cisco, Microsoft, and VMWare environment.
Expert to advance level of knowledge and experience configuring and implementing Cisco, Microsoft, and VMWare security protocols, systems, and processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a positive relationship with our customers and fellow IT team members.
Must have high level understanding of Cisco (Routers, Switching, firewall, Gateways, Phone systems, Voicemail, WebEx), operating systems.
Experience using network vulnerability scanning and testing tools.
Must be able to set specific service standards and KPIs that can be measured and are reportable.
Must be able to multitask, make quick decisions and work under stressful conditions.
Must be able to work and participate in a team environment.
Other QualificationsGood overall understanding network security technologies; excellent communication skills.
Ability to translate complex ideas into simple solutions on paper or verbally with a thorough understanding of customer service technologies.
Working experience with various wireless and collaboration technologies.
