We are currently seeking a Purchasing Unit Manager, for our Laconia Division located on 155 Lexington Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
This is a Full-Time Position, Monday through Friday.

This position will manage all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operators.

Negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases Direct CI of purchasing processes in line with changing needs and market conditions Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements Strong computer skills Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems (MRP-ERP) Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines International supply chain management experience Experience in VMI Education:
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Materials Management, Operations Management, or Related Field.
APICS-Purchasing certification a plus Other Requirements:
Five years of progressive management and supervisory experience preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment The successful completion of a background check Astro is a world class manufacturing facility that uses the start of the art machinery in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
